Single Mom Loves Edenpure Heater Model US-1000
I am a single mom living in upstate New York. During the colder months, it gets chilly even in our unit. I have been on
the lookout for many months for the right heating appliance. I wanted something affordable and will not run up my electric bill, but of course I needed it to function well and heat my place properly. Another important consideration was my twin boys who are now four years old and keep running around and touching everything in sight. My heating option should be safe especially for them. After months of searching, I ended up mentioning it in passing to a co-worker during one of our lunch time sessions. She told me that her daughter recently got the Edenpure Heater Model US-1000 for her pad and raved about how efficient it is. I bought the heater, and immediately started using it once it was delivered. It has been a couple of months since, and I am very pleased with it. Here’s why:
Infrared Heating Elements
Because I have two very active little boys, my home needs to be kept safe from any harmful objects. Sharp and pointy objects are kept out of reach, corners of tables and drawers are child-proofed, and glass materials are hidden. The Edenpure Heater Model US-1000 fits my child-proof home perfectly. The infrared heating element provides the proper heat for our home, without the possibility of burning anyone who happens to touch the appliance. My curious boys, who manage to squeeze their tiny little fingers in the strangest of places, are kept safe, even if they touch and tinker with the heater.
Heats Up To 1000 Sq. Ft.
My unit is pretty modest, so this Edenpure Heater Model US-1000 works perfectly for us. We usually have it in the living room, but it also heats up the adjacent dining room and kitchen very well. I recently had some friends over, and they all could not help but notice how toasty warm it is in my home, in spite of the harsh coldness outside. I was really pleased with being able to make my guests very comfortable right away.
At nighttime, when it’s time for bed, I transfer the heater to the hallway, in between my room and the boys’. We leave our doors open and share in the heat of this one amazing contraption.
Remote Control
The remote control feature of this heater must seemingly be overused at my home. With my two curious boys always pushing buttons of any electrical gadget they can get their playful little hands on, the setting on this heater is constantly changing. I only discovered they are capable of adjusting it one time when I was cooking dinner and it started getting chilly. True enough, they had brought the temperature way down. Thank heavens for the remote control which I have explained to my little ones must always stay with mommy. This way, I can always adjust the temperature settings after they “accidently” change it.
Made In The USA With A 5-Year Warranty
Thankfully, I have not had to use this warranty yet. My Edenpure Heater Model US-1000 has been working tremendously well since the day I got it. But, that is not to say I won’t ever need it. And when I do, I’ll be happy that I have this kind of long-term commitment from its manufacturer.
I once had a bad experience with an air-conditioning unit. While it worked very well for the first several months, it started acting up just as the height of summer was coming in. The warranty was only good for the first 3 months, which had already passed. Service was then extremely expensive. Needless to say, I’ve been more aware of warranty periods since then.

One Minor Negative:
Not so much a negative enough to sway me against recommending it, but if I could suggest something they can improve on, it would be the weight. Of course this may be a negative only to me as I move it from the living room to the hallway when it is already bedtime. But other than that, I have no problems or issues with this heater.

I am ecstatic to have found a reliable heater that does its job so well. It keeps me and my boys toasty warm during the harsh winter months. The Edenpure Heater Model US-1000 is very energy efficient and using it has not increased our electric bill significantly. It is also perfect for other moms like myself who need as much child-friendly appliances as they can get in their homes. Now even if I do not have my eye on my boys constantly, I can do my chores knowing they are not out of harm’s way and very much safe in our own home.
